Band – The Academy of Music The Academy of Music at IS 318 consists of a Jazz Ensemble, Senior & Junior Concert Bands and Chamber Groups Our Band had 8 of the 15 kids, chosen citywide, to play with the NY Pops at Carnegie Hall last spring. In Partnership with The NY Pops our students receive semi-private instruction from Pops teaching artists throughout the year. 97 % of our kids that auditioned for arts and music H.S.’s got accepted.
